A SEVERE WINTER WEATHER EVENT IS IMPACTING THE STATE OF KENTUCKY. REQUESTS FOR SERVICES MAY BE LIMITED AND SHIPPING OF DOCUMENTS MAY BE DELAYED!
What do I need to bring to the appointment? To comply with Kentucky notary laws, you must have a valid, unexpired government-issued ID that includes your photograph and signature. Acceptable forms of ID include:
Kentucky State Driver’s License or State issued ID Card
U.S. Passport
U.S. Military ID
Permanent Resident Card ("Green Card")
Other government-issued ID with photo, physical description, and signature (must be satisfactory to the notary).
Can I sign the document before you arrive? No. Please wait until we are together to sign your document. As a notary, we must witness the act of signing. If the document is already signed, you may be required to sign it again or provide a new copy depending on the type of document you present to us. Your signature on the document your signing must match the signature on the I.D. you present to us.
How much does mobile notarization cost? Our rates are fair, competitive and FLAT! We just need to know what services you need from us, where you want us to bring them, and we will give you a fair and reasonable quote that will never change once you agree with it. No hidden or surprising fees or charges*.
Notary Fee: We charge a standard flat fee per notarized signature.
Witness Fee: If your document requires a witness, we can bring a witness with us if you cannot provide one on your own, and a separate fee applies. Kentucky law prohibits a Notary from acting as a witness in the same transaction they are acting in the capacity as a Notary Public. If you are providing your own witness, the witness:
Must be over 18.
Must sign in the presence of the primary subject person signing the document.
Cannot be a beneficiary of the transaction or related to the primary subject signer; a beneficiary's spouse also disqualifies them.
Must have no mental or physical impairment that prevents them from understanding their role and that they are willing to sign as a witness on their own free will without any coercion or pressure.
Travel Fee: This fee not only covers our time (labor) but also covers the associated costs and convenience of us driving to your location (home, office, hospital, etc.) and is calculated based on distance from our home base to your location. Expenses like fuel, liability insurance, office supplies and equipment, vehicle maintenance, tolls, bonds, training, etc. are all factored into these fees. This fee includes 30 minutes onsite for our general notary work customers, and 60 minutes for our Loan Signing customers. This fee is due even if the notarization cannot be completed (e.g., a signing party is a no show, the signer doesn't have ID or lacks mental capacity). This protects our time and is collected in advance. This fee is fully refundable if the appointment is cancelled no less than 2 hours from the appointment time.
Overtime/Unforeseen Circumstances: Previously we had mentioned "No hidden or surprising fees or charges*"? There was an asterisk after that because due to the nature of this business, sometimes the transaction upon our arrival is not as described by the customer when they originally booked our services. This can lead to more time and/or notarizations to complete the transaction, which results in a higher fee. So its important that you provide all pertinent information requested as completely and accurately as possible at the time of ordering to prevent any surprise up charging later on.
Premium Time/Waiting Time: Premium time results in an additional flat markup fee for any appointment times requested between the hours of 6pm-6am, as well as on weekends and holidays. Transactions occurring at jails, prisons and airports will incur this additional fee as well due to the nuances of security procedures and extensive waiting times that come with it at these facilities. Waiting time in all cases is billed in 15 minute increments for anything passed 30 minutes for general notary work, and anything passed 60 minutes for loan signings.
You can fill out this form or contact us at 859-359-2082 for a precise quote that is tailored to your specific needs!
Do you offer legal or financial advice? No. We are not attorneys or accountants and cannot give you any legal or financial advice. We cannot explain the legal or financial implications of a document, tell you which form to use, or interpret the text for you. Our role is quite simple: To verify your identity and witness your signature in order to prevent fraud.
Can you notarize for a family member in the hospital? Yes, we frequently visit hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living care facilities. However, the signer must be alert, aware, and willing to sign the document without pressure or coercion from others. If the signer is heavily medicated or unable to communicate clearly, we cannot legally proceed.
What is a Loan Signing Agent (LSA)? An LSA is a notary public who has undergone specialized training to handle complex real estate loan documents. We are National Notary Association (NNA) Certified, meaning we are knowledgeable and formally trained on how to guide borrowers through the loan package, ensuring they sign, initial, and date in all the correct places so your loan funds on time. We are also Loan Signing System (LSS) certified, meaning we possess an even higher, more in-depth level of training, competence and professionalism in handling loan documents, which has increased our credibility with signing services, title companies, and escrow officers.
How long does a loan signing take? Most loan signings (Refinance, Purchase, etc.) can take between 45 to 60 minutes. We give your clients all the information they need in advance at the time of confirming the appointment with them to help them better prepare for the signing and know what to expect. We work efficiently to respect your time while ensuring accuracy.
What if there is a mistake on the documents? AI hasn't gotten a hold of closing loans or notarizing documents (not yet anyways), so your still stuck with a human being in this case. But have no fear, if we make a mistake (e.g. missed stamp or signature), we will return immediately to fix it at no cost to you. We are bonded and carry an above industry standard Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance policy for your protection. We will correct any mistakes we may make on your documents, and we will have your clients correct any mistakes they may make on your documents but it's important to note, due to legal and liability reasons, we do not make any alterations or corrections to any documents or forms that were authored, created, filled out or drafted by others, so it is the signers responsibility to ensure that the document they are signing reflects all the accurate and complete information that they were expecting to see in the document before they sign it.
